One thing I want to quickly mention, it looks like he has a gassy casting. There are degassing tablets that one can buy that will help to get those bubbles out. Other than that, awesome work!

My GF and I thought the exact same thing about the gassy casting when we first saw the image. Actually, she said, "that's a gassy cast," and I said, "ugh, he has a lot of filling to do."

If he was going for high precision, then yes, some kind of degassing is going to be necessary for future work. Personally, I like the gritty, battle-damaged look of this piece. I say keep it as it is and use/wear it with pride.
