I COMPLETELY agree. It's like the weakest whimper of a defense of time wasted in front of the TV.

I commented earlier and it got lost it seems :(
I also hate this phrase and get it all the time with my projects. One thing that irks is people seem to think they are being original when they say it!
Once they do start thinking the next most common comment I get is "How did you know how to start?" to which I have to reply I didn't and that's most of the fun, figuring out how to do something for myself.
