    Do we think this was done with CAD somehow? I’ve seen thing like this before done with MDF using CNC machines. Not sure what the technique is called.

    Very cool however. I was surprised by its size when I watched the video!

      Well, it definitely uses some CAD… I’m guessing they used a 3D CAD model, sliced it up (the results are called “sliceforms” – check it out on flickr), then cut using a laser cutter.
