Converting VHS cases into project enclosures

The VHS tape box has gone the way of “Be Kind, Rewind” stickers. But Swiss maker Christoph Zimmermann noticed that his logic analyzer fit neatly inside one.

This makes this part extremely cheap and as you have seen on the pictures, your LA will look way cooler than any of your other measurement equipment. I went to a thrift shop to find VHS cases with nice covers or skins. Look for films you know, it’s really funny how many cool LA skins you could get by this. You need the VHS cases which are opaque, else you don’t see the LED display (Which is extremely helpful for debugging).

I believe he meant to say *translucent* rather than opaque. I’ve made that mistake myself.
