Simon writes in regarding the Jeep-apart-in-4-minutes

Yep, nice little demo but do any proper driving in it and it would fall apart in well less than 4 minutes! Doesn’t compete with the old Royal Navy Field Gun competition for some quick assembly/disassembly.

I’d like to see a gadget version where the iFixit gang and West Point compete to take apart iPads :)

    that’s pretty intense – like a pit crew, but far more choreographed and much more physical. They were within 5 seconds of the world record!

    That is AMAZING! I’ve never seen this before. Can’t believe they take the entire freakin’ gun carriage over the hurdles. Cwazy.

    Believe it or not, this is actually the toned down version. They used to have to fire blank rounds to show that they had finished and prove that the gun was set up correctly…
