Japanese inventor Kazuhiko Minawa designed a device that allows this electric eel to light a Christmas tree. Fantastic!

Why not just leave the Eel in it’s own environment instead, and plug the tree into an outlet… ummmm yeah.
    This pretty lame IMO.

    OK that said…

By the way, the comment script still SUCKS! I did the usual type my comment, select all, copy, submit, crash and burn, sign in again even though I selected “remember me”… then back here again, paste, submit. It’s been this way forever. I can go create a bolg in five minutes that has a better comment script. What’s the problem Make? Really… I’d like to know. You guys are all about gadgets and tech and you can’t get this straightened out already!!!!

This is impressive. I know nothing about eels, but if I’d been forced to guess, I would have said that the eel wouldn’t have been able to do this. “Only on the Loony Toons” I would have said.

So, Cartoons were right after all!
