Intricate 3D-Printed Gaming Dice

Chuck Stover’s Thorn Dice can be purchased from Shapeways. A set of six printed in stainless steel appear to run around $75 excluding taxes. You can get them cheaper printed in plastic but according to Stover, “They look fine in plastic but are very light. Stainless steel has the heft to roll correctly and feel right in your hand.” [Via Core77]

Wow, those are really cool! I wonder, do the spikes prick/poke you when trying to roll those, and is that an issue?
