DIY Paper globe packaging...

MAKE Flickr photo pool member Funnypolynomial made this paper globe as a gift delivery accoutrament - "Kathy likes globes, and I wanted a unique gift-delivery mechanism, so I printed/cut/folded/glued a rhombicuboctahedron from here ... I left the top square unglued so it would open up to reveal the gift (earrings). " - Link.

Make your own paper Splatterbot

Here's another cool Halloween themed paper craft, a robotic splatterbot! - "The Splatterbot twists at the waist and the arms can move up and down. The claws are interchangable with the hatchet or the laser weapon. The front of the chest opens to reveal large hidden teeth, there's a hidden compartment in the back (with visible electronics and wiring), and the head can be removed to reveal the hideous floating eye creature that controls this peculiar little machine. To build your own mechanical monstrosity, just click each page, print out the parts, and commence assembly!" [via] - Link.

DIY Paper TV

This paper TV has way better shows than regular ole' TV.... Stane writes - "Here's my papercraft TV set with a film strip of selected frames from a movie. The strip is wrapped arround two pencils. As you turn the pencils film scrolls over the screen. I have done versions for three movies so far. Kill Bill vol. 1, Dirty Harry and Dr. Strangelove. I just chose three movies that I happen to like. People can download PDF files with templates from my web page. All you need to do is print it cut it and assemble it. There are even instructions. Hope you will like it." - Link.

Haunted paper toys

RavensBlight has a great collection of paper craft projects you can build for Halloween, I really like the mechanical bat (projects can be download/PDF) - "A visit to RavensBlight isn't really complete without taking home a pet! So here's BELA, The Amazing Mechanical Bat! Just turn the handle and watch this little creature flap its wings in a most convincing manner. The bat is actually life sized, with a wingspan of over sixteen inches! And he comes complete with his own crumbling headstone and rotting trees. So print out the parts below and build yourself a horrible red eyed flying rodent to call your very own." - Link.

Cardboard crocodile costume

The Evil Mad Scientist Laboratories shows you how to make a simple & fun croc costume out of cardboard, Lenore writes - "Here's how to make a fun, simple crocodile costume out of a cardboard box and some butcher paper. Okay, it was originally supposed to be a caiman costume, as we tend toward the esoteric, but alligator and crocodile are probably just as accurate. " [via] - Link.

HOW TO - Make paper

B. Zedan wrote in with a great paper making how-to... - "A step-by-step tutorial on making paper in your kitchen, no fancy press required. Lots of notes on the photos for advice and help. I made this tutorial a year ago and since I've had people from all over tell me they used it to make paper for the first time (and they've made some lovely sheets). That sort of thing is terribly exciting to me, I think paper is the best addiction ever." [via] - Link.

HOW TO - Folding speaker enclosures

Rick shows you how to make your own speaker enclosures from paper/cardboard, he writes - "...the box is an 80mm cube but it could be any size you like just choose the card thickness to suite the size of the box. Although this was made from card you could just as well use polypropylene as a harder wearing material, you can often buy stationary folders made from polypropylene that you can recycle." - Link.
