I got my best tip for how to deal with junk mail from an email that circulated a while ago.
The tip was to fill all the reply-paid envelopes (which come with some of the junk mail, especially junk mail that offer something they want you to order; magazines, mail-order clothes etc.) to fill the reply-paid envelopes with as much junk mail as you can and put the envelopes in the mail box.
