Beer is awesome. Besides being deliciously inebriating, beer offers a wide range of crafting potential! The caps can be collected and turned into jewelry. The bottles can be recycled into vases, lamps and even glasses for drinking beer. The cardboard from the case even has infinite possibilities. Even the labels can be reused, say, to line the inside of a suit, as Jack Van Stone has done in the shot above that was taken at the Laguinitas Beer Circus.
Jack’s art and other creative beer-related works are the focus of The Beer Show, a new group exhibit opening this weekend at The Jimmie Gallery in Berkeley. It’s a curated celebration of art and crafts made from, and inspired by beer.
