I lourve me some shrinky dinks! I’ve seen amazing jewelry made from them and had a ton of fun making customized pins and badges with them! Sign me up – my nieces need to learn the joy of shrinky dinking!
I’ve been looking to take a nostalgic trip back to my childhood and reclaim shrinky dinks as a grown-up medium. Thanks for the inspiration (the book would be awesome, but regardless, a trip to the craft store for shrinky dink material is on my agenda!).
I never got to do Shrinky Dinks as a kid. Now I’d like to try them out. I’d like to make some tags for my knitting equiqment. I’ll have to look for this book.
I remember when my mom let me do Shinky Dinks for the first (and last time) when I was young. I thought they were the coolest thing ever, but once the plastic was done, it was done, and I never really repeated the process.
But, it looks like my own daughter might not have this problem. Getting this in my crafting library may make many a rainy day go by much faster!
My daughter and I would ADORE working on these! Great news on the 25% off this month too — Klutz has so many great titles, and so many are great for kids-at-heart like me! Thanks Craftzine!
I swear my heart skipped beat when I saw this post. I loved shrinky dinks when I was a kid but never really was allowed to have them (weird hey). One of the things I love about the whole fashion cycle thing is all the stuff I loved when I was a kid is now coming back in time for my own kids to share the love.
My five-year-old daughter would adore them. Her mother, who is in her mid-30s, still talks about doing Shrinky-Dinks as a child, and would also get a charge out of them.

Wow, I’ve got to have this book. I remember how much fun those Shrinky Dinks were, and I own nearly every other Klutz book in existence. Thanks so much for the chance to win a copy… but if I don’t, I’ll be at the bookstore shopping for it soon!

I love shrinky dinks, and just started experimenting with them again. I had forgotten how much fun they are! What is even more fun is that they are also a science lesson too! P.S. I had Smurfs, Pee Wee Herman, and Betty Boop sets as a kid, when they still sold them that way.
What a gorgeous book and a lovely giveaway! Shrinky dinks are impossible to get hold of where I live, such a shame because they look so much fun for kids and big kids!
