It might be because you are viewing the PDF in your browser. Try right-clicking to save it to your desktop.
If that still isn’t working your PDF viewer may need to be updated so visit adobe.com to download the latest reader.
I also got the black screen but I noticed on the status line at the bottom of the page that it was still loading, so I waited and it did load. You may need to update your adobe reader version.
I was wondering did you ever get the sock pattern, I wonder if maybe I could email it to you? I don’t think it’s against any rules.
Let me know,
Heather
I’m a relatively new knitter–my current project is both the first time I’ve ever done color changes, added/decreased, and knitted a sock (or in this case, a Christmas stocking). After a lot of trial and error, I’d managed to figure everything up to turning the heel, but the gusset had stumped me. I looked for videos and PDFs at http://bytesland.com/knitted+socks and other sources, but none seemed to make sense…until I got to yours! You are a wonderful teacher and explained it all in simple terms, which was just what I needed. Thank you so, so much!
I additionally acquired the black display however i observed on the status line in the bottom with the web page that it had been nonetheless loading, so I waited and it did load. You might need to update your adobe reader version.
