I stumbled across these fantastic crocheted record albums in the Flickr Embroidery Pool. They are created by Esther of the New Zealand web site, Toggle, which features “the best and most interesting works from craft artists and artists practising in New Zealand.” Esther crochets various vintage record albums and hand embroiders their labels. She’s recreated albums from Frank Sinatra to The Clash and Blondie.

I love the crocheted record. I just made a cover for my boyfriend, who is a drummer. It is black. I think I will add the center part to it. What a nice suprise it will be for him. Thanks for showing this to us!
I did something smaller for my brother for Christmas, but felted — I made a set of 6 for coasters.
The details on this are rad!
