It’s Father’s Day, and here’s a post to celebrate one dad’s epic build for his son. Derek Dutilly spent about 60 hours over six and a half weeks constructing this amazing AT-AT Walker bunk bed for his son. He included details like toy storage in the stairs leading up to the bed, and a small window through which they can check on their sleeping child without having to go all the way around and up the structure. The bed is constructed primarily of MDF, with PVC pipe details. He’s got some great in-progress pictures on his blog. I want one for myself! [via @bonniegrrl]

While this looks cool, it would be interesting to know if “Star Wars” is the kid’s favorite movie, or just the Dad’s.
