Michele Pacey found some old bamboo stakes in a garage-clean-out, and decided to turn them into this colorful wind chime. I love the hand-painted details!
Michele shares a tutorial for painting and building this chime on her blog, Michele Made Me. The project is part of a monthly collaboration called Point of View, where groups of crafters make projects based on a particular theme.
July’s theme was “Summer.” You can see what the rest of the group came up with over here.

This is sweet! I’ll add it to my list of projects I want to do before this quickly passing summer is over!
There is no sound sweeter than that of a wind chime in the summer evening blowing on the porch. A chime is great for any budget and any living arrangement. They can be small or very large and can play a number of beautiful sounds. You can find them in many gift stores and you can even make your own. They make terrific gifts for just about anyone and can be purchase very inexpensively.
