Nancy Dorsner of Dabbled consistently creates amazing geeky cakes for her kids’ birthdays, and this year was no exception. She’s been posting teaser pics of this fantastic Dalek cake she made for her son, and now she has a complete tutorial for creating your own. I love seeing what ordinary materials she transforms into the iconic elements of these villainous creatures, and while the cake will take a little more work than your average ice-it-and-go version, it is totally worth it.
