This film canister bobbin organizer tutorial from Meream at Bored and Crafty combines my three favorite things: it’s totally creative, kind of geeky, and very, very orderly! This would be a great tool to keep on your sewing table, especially when working on a project that requires multiple colors, or in case you wanted to have a stash of pre-wound bobbins close at hand!

    Reminds me of a tiny sewing kit I put together years ago – used three bobbins to hold white, gray and black thread. Then took a strip of felt to hold a few needles and a few safety pins. The felt was the same width as the height of the film can; I wound the felt around the bobbins and was able to slide the whole thing into the can and close it with the lid. Decorated the can with some colored tape (to make it easier to find in one’s purse). Thought it was one of my best ideas ever, although we didn’t sell many of them at the church fair…
