I use the blow dryer to fix all kinds of hot glue mishaps. Decide you wanna move something that’s glued down? Hit it with the blow dryer until the glue is soft enough to peel off. I’ve even removed hot glue from clothing that way.

If you ever want to remove hot glue use rubbing alcohol. it comes right off. I haven’t tried it on fabric yet but it might work there too.
I use tweezers to pull those annoying strings off of fabric projects, or anything detailed.
