There will always be a warm place in my heart for Harry Potter, so I think this Golden Snitch ornament should have a place on my tree. While I admit that trees with matching ornaments look pretty, I love a wild mishmash of mixed ornaments from different people, times, and places, so it wouldn’t look out of place at all!

We also have a random mix of ornaments on our tree. I used to dress it up all colour co-ordinated, but these days I find it can look a bit corporate and prefer the homely mix of old, new, bought and handmade decorations.
