sounds like an awesome way to avoid wasting containers. I’ll try it next time I break one.
You might try drilling a small (1/8″ or 1/16″) hole at each end of the crack to keep the crack from extending. I’ve never tried it with plastic, but in glider maintenance, it’s how we stop cracks in plexiglas canopies from extending further after we stitch them up with wire.
