I’ve hosted SEVERAL parties at our house this holiday season for just a handful of guests at a time, so I’m still impressed with Martha Stewart’s open house she hosted before Christmas. If you watch her show you know she transformed several houses on her property to party destinations for this year’s celebration. Visit her blog to see 114 photos from the festivities.
Did you host a party this year? How many people came?

I hosted several small gatherings as well – from dessert for my book group, to potluck with my birthday girls, to our traditional family gatherings before, during and after Christmas. I love the holiday season, and love my home decorated – so sharing it all with the people in my life is one of the happiest things I do for them and for myself.
I tend to host the Christmas Secret Santa party for my friends. It is potluck and I usually make 2 or 3 things (a vegetarian and non vegetarian main dish and dessert). This year we had slightly fewer people attend, but it is usually close to 20 people.
I love doing this type of thing, but my house is just not big enough for a Martha Stewart number of guests!
