When I posted about stitchable iPhone cases back in July, folks went nuts (rightly so) and clamored to get them from a Japanese supplier. Thanks to those who originally ordered them from abroad and reported back here. If you weren’t able to get one, The Purl Bee is now stocking them. Flickr user, poppet with a camera, shared her geektastic take on the stitched iPhone case: the Nyan Cat Case. If you can set the ringer to “NyanNyanNyan” you’d be all set! [via Feeling Stitchy]

My husband ordered me a black one as an anniversary present, and I designed and stitched a Tardis with stars in the background. It’s my all time favorite phone case.
So cool, Sara! That’s exactly what fellow CRAFT blogger, Haley, and I were talking about doing on one! Can you share a picture or link to a chart you followed? I figure with my Doctor Who theme song ringer, it’s the only way to go with the stitchery.
My boyfriend is a super Superman geek, so I bought the black one with the intent of stitching the Superman symbol on their site…but after taking another look at it I decided to make my own version. He absolutely LOVES it, and doesn’t even want to use it for fear of messing it up (even though I told him I’d make another for “collecting”). I haven’t taken a pic of it yet, but I’ll take care of that tonight!
