While in Columbus this past weekend, I had the pleasure of stopping by Sew to Speak, a fabric shop complete with sewing school. I was absolutely amazed with the variety of fabrics, patterns, trims, and classes available to Ohio crafters. I stocked up on all sorts of fabric patterns I’ve had a hard time finding – I could have spent hours there! Take a look at just at some photos from inside the store. You can see more over in this Flickr gallery.

So glad you got to hit up Sew to Speak while you were in town! Any plans for the fabric or just stashing?
Mary Dugan, who made the quilt pictured, has a great blog to follow if you don’t already. (I’m having trouble leaving a link, but just google “molly flanders blog”) Her work and her classes are fantastic! Are there any modern quilt shops near you?
Yeah, I’m so glad I got to go, too! I want to work on a quilt with some of the coordinating colors I got, but right now I’m just enjoying staring at it
I will definitely look up Mary’s blog – thanks for the tip! I was SO impressed with the quilts in the store.
In metro Detroit we have Guildcrafters in Berkley, which is my go-to shop. We have some great places sprinkled around southeastern Michigan. I need to convince Sew to Speak to open a Michigan location!
Eye candy is always good! I’ll check out Guildcrafters if I’m ever in the area, maybe next year when handmade Detroit hosts the Caucus, right? ;]
