The cliches are endless, but ring so true- “Thanks for helping our love grow.” “With your help, our love has bloomed.” “May the happiness in your life never cease to blossom.”
These hand-sewn paper seed packets are charming, inexpensive, and easy to make. You can choose flowers you love, and every time your guests see them growing in their garden, they will think of your beautiful wedding.

Materials
Parchment paper
Cutting mat and rotary cutter
Pencil
Markers
Sewing machine and thread
Seeds
Directions

Step 1: Lay the parchment paper onto the cutting mat. Each packet will be 18 square inches, folded in half. Use the pencil to make a dot every 9 square inches. The dots are guides to help you cut, and to help you place your initials.

Step 2: Use markers in your wedding colors to write your initials. I like to keep the font simple enough to freehand, and learned adding little serifs to the letters is an easy way to make the letters look sophisticated.

Step 3: Cut the paper out, using the dots as your guide. Fold each packet down the center.

Step 4: Set your sewing machine to zig-zag stitch, and sew along two of the three open sides of the packet.

Step 5: Add seeds to the packet, then sew it closed. Repeat the steps until you have made enough favors for every guest.

Great idea…but be sure to toss the sewing machine needle after you’re done because it will be completely beaten up by the paper.
