The process included scuffing up the existing paint job and adding consecutive coats of spray paint and laboriously cut masking tape. There was some conversation in the comments about the safety issues around using paints on the helmet (they can weaken the plastic) and about the protruding PVC pieces. What mods could you suggest that might make this fun design safer? Perhaps stickers like the ones used in this R2D2 lamp hack?
