Our family likes to do at least one big special breakfast on the weekend, and French toast is a popular request. Why I never thought to make it with banana bread is beyond me. Fortunately, Jessica of How Sweet it Is has a husband who made that connection, and she obliged. Her addition of heavy cream to the French toast batter makes me realize all my French toast to date has been nothing but a sad excuse for breakfast.
