I love Etsy’s process videos, where they show craftspeople, their spaces, and talk to them about why and how they make what they make. This one is about David Ellison, who builds traditional furniture in Rhode Island.

  1. The best part of this video is where David talks about how every part of the tree is used. The bark, the wood, etc. Nothing goes to waste and is trashed.

I love how much good looking furniture he can get out of wood I would not even buy. But his table saw technique is unsafe. Always support the wood between the blade and fence when ripping, use a push stick.
