DIY iPhone Gloves

Computers & Mobile Craft & Design Wearables

It can be frustrating to have to take off your gloves to use your touch screen phone. Capacitive touch screens sense how conductive your fingers are, and gloves are, well, insulators. Learn to mod your gloves with conductive thread in this episode of Becky’s Workshop. See the complete how-to on Make: Projects.

I’ve thought about doing this, but I’m severely klutzy. The idea of handling my phone with fuzzy gloves seems like a bad idea for me. I’m sure it would slide out of my hands and onto some hard surface.

I’d probably start with something nonslip (leather?) or add nonslip surface stuff.

Great Tutorial! It makes perfect sense and beats having to buy new gloves! Thankfully it’s Android compatible, I was almost worried. ;D

I’ve been wearing those thin, grey, nitrile Atlas-Fit gloves. They work like a charm without modification. :)
