The call to makers for Brighton Mini Maker Faire 2012 is currently open, and we’re on the hunt for makers of all types to help fill a much bigger venue than last year. This year’s event is on Saturday 8th September at the Corn Exchange in Brighton.

In particular we’re interested in hearing from anyone who:
* Has an interactive project that others can try or make
* Can lead a workshop with adults and/or kids
* Is a teacher or student who’s up for getting their school or college involved
* Makes their own musical instrument(s) and would like to join our Brighton Mini Maker Faire band
* Has an idea for a large-scale make than the public can contribute to (origami seagull flock? Lego model of Brighton?)
* Could help design and build decor for the Corn Exchange to make it a magical maker wonderland!

As well as all this ambitious stuff, we’re also welcoming applications from makers of all types and scales who have a project they can share. We’d love to meet bodgers, welders, sculptors and engineers; food hackers, origami experts, yarn bombers, recyclers, upcyclers and permaculturists; festival performers and set designers; space explorers model makers, Lego geeks and mad scientists.

Whatever you make, please get in touch. And if you’re not a maker yourself, but know someone who is, please tell them about it.
