6″ Bionic Wrench, Loggerhead Tools, $24.95
Dan Brown owns a small company in Chicago and created the Bionic Wrench, a tool built in the USA with a unique mechanism that grips many different sizes of nuts and bolts on all six sides. There has been recent controversy over Sears ceasing to carry the tool and creating their own China-made version that is very similar to Brown’s. However the case shakes out, this is a novel tool that deserves recognition for its utility and originality.
$575?! Please tell me this is a typo.
Err, I was commenting about the Crown marking gauge.
oh yes, that was most definitely a typo. Sorry about that. The price is 46.99 – here’s the link – http://www.woodcraft.com/product/2000424/3753/crown-rosewood-and-brass-marking-gauge.aspx
Sorry to nit-pick, but the image for the marking gauge is incorrect. What is depicted is mortise gauge, if you notice the twin points for marking the longer edges of a mortise, which are adjustable to mark different mortise widths, a marking gauge only has one point.
Interesting, because the Woodcraft link I posted lists has that picture in the listing for a marking gauge. I never knew there was a difference. In any case, the pins on this tool are removable, so it can be used to score just one line if you wish.
