These are very easy to make and work wonders. My roommate had all of his stuff stored in a trunk with a combo lock just like the one in the picture, and I built a shim out of a Mountain Dew can in about 10 minutes and the lock popped open in about 10 seconds. The aluminum can shims get destroyed after opening two or three locks max though, so either invest in a more permanent one online or build a couple of them to keep around.
